The colorful Vegas background fades into solemn, sparsely
populated desert as a matronly woman does the dishes while watching television.
All is quiet until an unseen killer approaches from behind and stabs her
repeatedly, killing her.

As blood drips from the knife, the image morphs
into present day, with that same weapon on the screen during a trial in which
Catherine is testifying. The victim was Addie Finch, and three other sets of
blood evidence were found on the knife. The other samples belonged to the
victim's son, Jay Finch, as well as two other unidentified,... (more)

This is a new one for the team: a man is trapped waist-high
in cement only a few feet from the dead body of a woman. He's been stuck all
night, and Catherine can't stop the giggles as she takes in the scene. The
man's not happy with the situation, and he won't say a word about what
happened. "Figure it out yourself," he says.

"That's the fun part," Grissom replies.

As the hours pass, the sweaty, cement-stuck man
gets watered and doused with sunblock by paramedics while David and Catherine
inspect the dead body. She was killed by a single stab wound, but there's... (more)

There's big news in Vegas: the gold Caddy belonging to a
legendary mobster, Mickey Dunn, has been found in Lake
Mead. A racketeer and extortionist, Dunn was tied to a murder in
August of '77 and vanished one night, never to be seen again. After years of
false sightings, this looks like the real thing.

Meanwhile, at a rockin' karaoke joint in town, a
singer named Michael Myers delivers a killer version of "That's Life"
to huge applause. A wheelchair-bound music lover in the audience, Ken Billings,
calls the crooner over to congratulate him. They share a drink, then two,... (more)

Twins, one a mother with a husband and child, the other a
single woman with sophisticated style, share the same fate on the same night:
murder. One is shot while out on an errand while the other is hanged in her
elegant Vegas home. Is there a connection? How could there not be?

Catherine and Nick work the case of the mother,
shot dead while picking up her laundry at the dry cleaners. It's an odd set-up,
considering her purse was stolen, yet the keys to her Lexus were left behind
next to the vehicle. What kind of thief takes money but leaves a car? Nick
strikes gold behind... (more)

It's a rainy night in Vegas, and 65-year-old Penny Garden is
enjoying her nightly cigarette and a glass of cherry liqueur as she clips
coupons. Suddenly she stands up from her chair, and through the window shade,
we see the silhouette of another person in the room. Penny lurches forward, only
to be thrown back, smashing through the window in a bloody heap.

She's still hanging out of the window sill as
Grissom photographs the scene. Once he departs, Catherine arrives to take over,
disappointed that she's got most of the house to cover. She starts in the vic's
bedroom and is... (more)

There's an Amber Alert out on the wire: two boys, both age
10, are missing. Brass briefs the force on their identities and where they were
last seen. Elsewhere, Nick is working a case that might be related: someone set
fire to a trailer where a convicted tier two pedophile lives. Carl Fisher
complains that he's been attacked by neighbors in some way every time there's
an Amber Alert. He likes boys, young, pre-teen ones. Just like Jason Crowley
and Lucas Hanson, the missing boys. Brass isn't convinced that Carl's been
victimized. "Sometimes bad things happen to bad people," he... (more)

Two nuns get the shock of their lives when they find a woman
suspended from the rafters of their church, dripping blood onto a statue of
Mary. Nick and Warrick get started on the investigation by rigging a pulley
system to lower the victim down from her resting place. To make matters worse,
the woman was tied to a crudely built crucifix, positioned like a dying Jesus.
Since the woman was still bleeding when she was found, it's likely she died
while on the cross, probably of suffocation. But the woman also has a head
wound; Catherine heads off to find the point of origin of the... (more)

On what should have been a night like any other, the last
thing Vasco Ruiz sees as he draws his final breath is the ceiling of a dark,
empty parking structure. A dishwasher at the hotel, Vasco was a family man who
did nothing to provoke the violent attack. After the CSIs arrive, Catherine
wonders what was used to kill him. "A blender?" Brass quips. It looks
like a robbery gone wrong, but the intensity of the injuries says something
else to Brass. Grissom finds Ruiz's car keys in the garage, but as he checks it
out, police cars at the scene race away to another crime.

It's... (more)

As Grissom takes a group of university students on a tour of
the lab, Doc Robbins carefully sews a female corpse back together after an
autopsy. David brings the body to the cooler, where moments later the body…
sits up? She's confused for a moment until the body next to her sits up as
well. They introduce themselves, and our first victim is Donna Basset, who
isn't sure how she ended up in her current circumstances.

Chapter One: American Beauty

Luckily, Catherine and Brass are on the case. The
vic, Donna, was found in an elevator of a hotel by cleaning staff, and... (more)
